 Spirituality and Guidance

Spirituality practice allows people the opportunity to focus on the connection between their emotions, health, well-being and spirituality -including increased awareness, body image, exploring creativity, intuition, a visioning process, film and book discussions, gratitude and prosperity, grief and forgiveness, meditation and healing circles, and self-empowerment.

About Myself——-  Mary Peters, a mother, grandmother and now a vowed member with A New Genesis Community, offers Spiritual Companioning, which is inviting one to explore their relationship with the Mystery of the Universe that many people call God, providing a safe space and a listening presence.

Coming with a wealth of personal experience, years of working with Faith Formation and training in Spiritual Guidance, Mary is interested in guiding others to find their Inner Voice; to see how that Presence we call God, is alive and active in their daily lives. Mary embraces spiritual guidance for all, regardless of one’s history in their faith journey or religious affiliation, with the focus being on an individual’s Spiritual Journey.

What happens in a Spiritual Guidance Session?   In spiritual guidance, the guide listens in a non-judgmental way as the seeker shares what is resting on her/his heart: ways they want to grow in relationship with God, issues they are dealing with, struggles, joys—the realities of their life and where God is in all of this.   Spiritual guidance is not counseling. With Guidance from the Spirit, the Guide often will ask open-ended questions, inviting the seeker to go deeper. The answers lie within each of us.

Why Spiritual Guidance?

Just as it is important for us to get cars “tuned up,” to get physicals at the doctors, it’s important to check into what is happening within us, at the core of our being, where the Holy Mystery resides. We are spiritual beings whether one practices a religion or not. It is important to nurture that part and feel “grounded;” to have a safe space for having one’s story listened to.
